Goodbye Autumn - Hello Winter!

As we said farewell to Autumn, it was time to give the plants a boast with some diluted Worm Juice and protect them from the Winter chill with sprinklings of Lucerne Mulch! Also, it was a good time to emulate Dirt Girl from ‘Get Grubby TV’ and clean up the fallen leaves! World Environment Day - 5 June, was celebrated with a bowl of Maltese Minestrone Soup, prepared by the Environment Team !

Dwarf Peas and Beans!

Even Dwarf Peas and Beans need support, so bamboo stakes were strategically placed among the seeds, so that when they sprout, the tentacles will attach themselves to the wooden sticks!

Basil seeds were also planted in the garden beds with the emerging bulbs and all beds were topped up with potting mix and cow manure … prompting the question: “What’s that dreadful smell?”
