Fruit and Vegetables to Feed the School at St. Patrick’s, Primary Blacktown
The school was generously given a small grant from the Department of Health through Crunch & Sip, to further
increase the healthy food choices at break time. It was decided to plant extra fruit and vegetables
in the Kitchen Garden. Lots of of snow peas, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers
and carrots were planted for the students at St. Patrick’s to enjoy for fruit
break!
After a couple of months and many successful harvests, every student at St.Patrick’s has been given the opportunity to enjoy the produce from the
garden during their fruit break time. All the students have enjoyed eating fresh
and organically grown produce!
