Welcome 2 All!

As World Environment Day 2016 approaches, students at St Bernadette's Primary Lalor Park are celebrating their Gardening achievements since 5 June 2015 and there are many, including; a "Welcome 2 all" work bench, Farmer Fox Scarecrow, a new Herb Garden and two healthy Worms Farms!

 

Let's Look at Earthworms!

Tristen Vella: Principal - Georges River Environmental Education Centre Chipping Norton, run by the Department of Education and Communities visited St Bernadette's Primary Lalor Park, to give advice on how to bring new life to the garden. Many good suggestions were noted and Tristen then restored and repositioned three of the Worm Farms, ready to receive scraps from ‘Crunch & Sip’ and the Canteen. Staff will also be able to feed scraps to the worms! No doubt the worms will soon find their way into their new homes and their juice and castings will be used as nutrients for the plants!
