"Rain, Rain Go Away ..."

Rain rain please go away, so that the birds' feathers can dry out and they can fly in again, to drink from the clean Birdbath! BTW ... the students measured over 200mls, in two days!

Did someone say: "Watermelon Pizza!"

  • The Stage 3 students were thrilled to don their Stephanie Alexander aprons, as they participated in the first "Let'sCook and Create" session, for 2022! While some COVID-19 restrictions still applied, that didn't deter their enthusiasm or enjoyment, as they happily sampled the fresh, juicy, recipe!

"We're Back!

“We’re back!” and in Bluey’s Patch it looks like the summer rain has done a great job of keeping the plants alive and thriving … a grasshopper even popped in for a visit!

The Proof of the Pudding .... is in the Compost!

As 2021 draws to a close and thoughts turn to Christmas pudding, the students shared the Compost pudding with the plants in Bluey's Patch! In preparation for the summer holidays, the wicking beds were topped up with water, the birdbath bath cleaned and filled and the rain measured and recorded! Was that a tadpole spotted in the Frog Pond and a ripe strawberry, ready to be picked and eaten? It was time to party for the Environment Team and the "Let's Cook and Create" session also looked festive, with Christmas Chocolate Crackles being enjoyed by some happy Early Stage 1 students, who had varying opinions on the taste of  the garden mint!
