Lalor Park Community Garden - Excursion!



"The Lalor Park Community Garden" excursion was appreciated by 'The Friends of Bluey's Patch' and Environment Leaders on a bright sunny Spring day. Mrs Rebecca Lewis gave a very informative tour of the garden and students enjoyed the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a colourful, cool, peaceful haven!'

Parsley in Fried Rice, Rustic Screens and Pyjama Day!

 


Spending time in Bluey's Patch especially on Pyjama Day is fun and harvesting parsley for Fried Rice, which Stage S1 made in 'Let's Cook and Create, is great and the new rustic metal screens add character to the garden!

 Succulents grow easily from cuttings, so students put some into pots and then remembered to water them ... well done!

Rice Paper Rolls!


Stage 3 students were up to the task of selecting ingredients to make their Rice Paper Rolls ... (Including parsley and mint, from Bluey's Patch) ... dipping them is soy sauce, wrapping them up and delighting in eating them!

Lalor Park Community Garden!


 Students from St Bernadette's who are members of "Friends of Bluey's Patch" and Environment Leaders, enjoyed a guided tour of the Lalor Park Community Garden. They used their sense of taste and smell to learn about the abundance of produce! Our Excursion was fun!
