"And so, this is Christmas ...

.... and what have we done?" Well, in Bluey’s Patch the school year ended with the tadpoles turning into frogs, and Early Stage 1 adding their sculptures to the garden. The Environment Team  mastering the Compost Bin handle and one Staff  member making a delicious Pasta from her home-grown cherry tomatoes … a great effort by all involved, so let’s do it all again in 2021!

"The Nasturiums That Were Too Proud for Their Boots!"

Sunflowers, marigolds, and petunias not to mention more harvesting of carrots, beetroot, peas and beans … Bluey’s Patch is flourishing! But, where have the Nasturtiums gone? Try a Google Search for the book, “The Nasturtiums That Were Too Proud for Their Boots” to find the answer! Some ES1 students took great delight in giving their (Volunteer Trainee Teacher) a grand tour of Bluey’s Patch!

A Splash of Colour!

A new face was spotted in Blueys’ Patch, belonging to Mr Jo Jo, the Scarecrow … maybe he was just happy that he now has a “bulked-up”  head and he will start scaring the birds, soon! The students were also happily, harvesting, peas, beans and strawberries, watering, weeding and appreciating the splash of colour, which heralded the last month of Spring!

Bluey's Patch!

The Term 4 Environment Team was announced and the Term 3 members did an efficient ‘hand-over’! Students returned to Bluey’s Patch to discover produce, (some ready to eat!) top up the Wicking Beds and clear away the rubbish, which accumulated over the 2 week break! Mr Fuller had planted some water melon seeds (a gift from Mrs T!) and these also needed watering!
